The NPR example of solar eclipses is a great example of “no frills” information. The narrator gets right to the point of the next solar eclipse. The interviews are interspersed throughout the story and are brief. If someone has no interest in the solar eclipse, then this story will not hold any interest to them. However, they focus on how few chances there are to actually view a full solar eclipse, so even someone slightly interested in seeing one, would take the opportunity to see it on the date given if they can.
